Pocket PC Sales

Commerce Solutions, L.L.C. is delighted to present the newest member of the CSTA-Financials Food Distribution Software family:  Pocket PC applications.

Relying in the .Net technology, the transition from an application that runs on Windows to the Pocket PC environment was very smooth. This was due to the fact that all data manipulation is done centrally using web-services.

The Pocket PC functions can run locally using a powerful SQL Server CE Database. That database can be synchronize at any time either through the internet or by connecting the device to the cradle.

In addition to this, if the user has an internet connection on the device, he/she can work online with the company's database. Therefore, the user has the capability of posting transactions real time and accessing all inventory, Customer and Pricing Information.

The Pocket PC Functions support Item Scanning in all of their functions. This reduces the data entry errors and saves time to its user. You can scan either the Item ID or Product UPC that was entered in the Item Setup.

The Pocket PC Sales Order is vital for any organization with remote salespeople.  The "Load Data" function allows the salesperson to load all his/her Customers into the Pocket Pc device. In addition to that all Items, Item Categories, Pricing, Tax Tables, Payment Methods, Shipping Methods, Customer History for Two Months, Contract Prices, Ship To, Customer Types and customer types are loaded as well. This function has been thoroughly tested with thousands of records and it is completed in a reasonable time.

The user can synchronize when the device is in the cradle or when it has an internet connection (Wireless Network, Cellular Connection, etc)

Once all the data is loaded the salesperson can go through each customers to fill their orders. The program allows to use an scanner that you can connect to the Pocket PC device. This greatly reduces the time of searching the items. However, the user has the same search and selection capabilities of the office application.

Once the order is completed, the user can save it and start a new one or it can be transmitted it to the office if an internet connection is available. It is important to remember that the application also runs in "Online" mode, in this scenario the data is retrieved and posted real time.
